What’s included in the kit?

The Educator Chick Package offers the same equipment as both family Packages. It also comes with an Educational booklet containing care instructions, fun facts and other engaging insights, ensuring educators have everything they need for a successful hatching and learning experience.  Our Educator kits NOW also include downloadable lesson worksheets.

How long does the hatching process take for chicks and ducks?

Accepted Answer

The hatching process takes about 21 days for chicks and 28 days for ducks. Around these times, you'll witness the incredible moment when they start to pip and hatch, offering a hands-on way to explore the lifecycle of these amazing animals.

Do I need to turn the eggs?

No, the incubator we provide automatically rotates the eggs once every hour to ensure even development.

Question 4

How long is the rental period for chick and duck hatching kits?

Accepted Answer

The rental period is 31 days for chick hatching kits and 38 days for duck hatching kits. This includes setup, incubation, hatching, and about 10 days of care before returning or rehoming the chicks or ducklings.

Where do the chicks/ducks go after?

Accepted Answer

You can:
Return them to Hatchables (we’ll rehome them to our farm or a trusted local farm), or
Keep them, if you’re ready for long-term chicken care.

How much space do I need?

Not much! The setup fits on a table or counter and plugs into a standard outlet. Make sure it's in a quiet, stable temperature room.
